This challenging 36-hole course nestled on the Pacific Coast near Oxnard, CA offers breathtaking views of mountains and the ocean, made even more remarkable by the site’s recent status as a landfill. Duininck Bros Inc. Golf took on this very unique project to recycle wasteland into a recreational facility for the city of Oxnard, CA and surrounding communities. Incredible precision, attention to detail and quality control were required as the crew worked with monitoring devices, liners and the operation of a methane extraction system. Close cooperation with officials from the State of California, Coastal Landfill staff, Ventura County Regional Water Board, and numerous other agencies was maintained to protect the environment and make the project a success. The Santa Ana winds coming from the ocean make this course a difficult one, but unparalleled enjoyment for those willing to take it on.
